清明 The Day of Clear and Bright 杜牧 Du Mu
清明时节雨纷纷,Around Clear and Bright showers are so frequent;
路上行人欲断魂.Wayfarers on the road feel despondent.
借问酒家何处有,Tell me, Buffalo boy, is there a tavern somewhere:
牧童遥指杏花村.The lad pointed to a hamlet with blossoming apricot trees way down the road.
